More Power Using Less Fuel, This We Like
Power comes from either a gas V6 or a hybrid! It is a next-generation system, however, that gives the 2020 Highlander a 6.9 L/100 km fuel economy rating, making it most fuel-efficient Highlander ever! The 2020 Highlander Hybrid makes use of a 2.5L four-cylinder engine as well as 2 electric motors which combine for 240 total system hp. Toyota says much of the improved fuel economy is helped by smaller electric motors that operate more smoothly, as well as a quasi-sequential-shift system that increases regenerative braking in steps every time you bump the shifter rearward.
Spacious and Functional
Seating for 7 or 8 passengers depending on the trim selection. The 2020 Highlander will do more than haul people too, as it will tote up to 16.1 cubic feet of cargo with the rear seats upright and 40.6 cubes with the third row folded. Drop both rear rows to expand it to 73.3 cubic feet of cargo space.
More Room Than Ever Before
Inside, the all-new Highlander will gain a more horizontally oriented dash that will visually widen the cabin. There will be seating for eight with its standard second-row bench, but buyers can upgrade to second-row captains chairs that increase comfort but cut the capacity to seven people. With the option to fold down the rear rows, you can expand it to 73.3 cubic feet of cargo space!
Advanced Multimedia
Every 2020 Highlander model is equipped with incredible multimedia, including Apple CarPlay compatibility! Limited and Platinum trims have an 11-speaker 1,200 watt JBL audio sound sytem that can also upgrade your compressed digital audio for a truer sound. Platinum trims get a 12.3-inch display and wireless charging is also standard.
